Linda at the ceremony to rename Kelowna’s cancer centre in honour of former MLA Sindi Hawkins. Sindi raised nearly $20 million for cancer care before she died of leukemia in 2010.
Linda had a lot of fun helping children to learn about fire safety as part of Fire Prevention Week. Linda planted a tree at an event held by the Buddha’s Light International Association. Their Environmental and Spiritual Preservation Charity Fair at King George Park was aimed at raising environmental awareness.
Linda and fellow Richmond MLAs John Yap and Rob Howard present $50,500 in provincial gaming grant funding to the Richmond Chinese Community Society (RCCS). This funding is a big boost for RCSS as they continue their important work of enriching the cultural life of Richmond and educating residents on healthy living.

The Namgis First Nation and the people of Dresden, Germany, are sharing their most precious artifacts.
